St. Louis Rock & Roll Marathon

Jeff, his sister, her fiancé, and their dad did the St. Louis Rock & Roll Marathon.  It was the inaugural year for the marathon.   They all did great!!  I got some shots of my runners and some of the more amusing looking runners of the day!

While on a trip to St. Louis for a marathon, we went to a St. Louis Blues hockey game.  It was my first NFL game and lots of fun!

Hilly 100

The Hilly 100 is a bike tour held each year in Southern Indiana.  This year, Jeff decided to join his sister and her fiance on the ride.  I volunteered at a rest stop and also participated in the photography contest!

Lake Highlights

W&S Open

Each year, the Western & Southern Open is held in Cincinnati.  Jeff and I had the chance to go this year and we had a great time.  We got lucky with the matches we saw.  The first match we saw was Sharapova vs. Rodionova.  The second match was Federer vs. Del Potro.  I got some good action shots of Sharapova.  Federer and Del Potro’s match was a bit dark but I got a few of them.  Sharapova won this match and went on to win the tournament.  Andy Murray ended up winning the male tournament.

Carolina Vacation

Soooo I’m playing catch-up on my blogging.  August, September, and October really got away from me so I’m going back to the summer to post some pics.  Here’s some highlights from our 3rd Anniversary trip to North and South Carolina!

Jeff, the Triathlon Champion

While we were up at the lake for the 4th of July Weekend, Jeff competed in a small sprint (750 m swim, 12.4 mi bike, 5 k run) triathlon in Napoleon, Ohio (about 45 minutes from our cottage).  It was a small, local tri that was very well run.  Here’s Jeff during the tri:

    


And he WON!!

He got $75 of “Napoleon Chamber Bucks” and a cooler.  We used the Chamber bucks to buy alcohol and video games!  Awesome!!

Happy Birthday, Mom (and America, too)!

We celebrating the 4th of July/my mom’s birthday at the lake!  Weather was hot but we had a good time!  Lots of visitors and even more fireworks
